Perfect medium weight comforter with lots of loft! I wanted a King sized down comforter with lots of loft that was warm, but not too heavy. I wasn't sure if I wanted the Stratus which has a loft fill of 600, or the Luxury comforter, which was on sale at the time for the same price, but with a loft fill of 700. So I purchased them both and tried each one out. I found that the Stratus is much fuller and loftier looking and slightly less warm than the Luxury (which, even in the cold New England weather, my husband and I found to be a little TOO warm!). The Luxury comforter does have a higher thread count on the outer covering so it feels a little softer, but since I am using a duvet cover, that didn't matter. We sent the Luxury comforter back, and are thrilled with the Stratus! December 23, 2013
appeared too then at first, but between air fluffing and drying it on low for 15mins it fluffed out very quickly This does have a blue piping all the way around theydont mention, and although it deosnt match my decor it still looks prestine. Fully fluffed it is about 3" thick whick I love but the downside is the cheap materieal that makes rough scrathy sounds when I move under it. At this price I was expecting 1600tc fabric, and even the expsenive covers don't have that. So here's what I've found, the best oy the best, to revamp my bed- 1600tc egyptian cotton sheets, this duvet , which by the way makes a loud noise when you move in it so maybe you'd want a cover for it, two pacfic classic soth down pillows, and a memory foam cotton topper. (Wish id tried a feather bed to top it off but the cheap alternate brand I had years aso flattened n the ,middle amd feathers poked through so this is much lower maintenence. Hope you can find an arrangement that you appreciate as much as I do. Oh yeayh, I never knew until I called pacific, but you have to fluff daily and dryind down on the low settins w a damp cloth will puff it right up and washing n trying will make old pillows like new again. Good luck! -desiree November 2, 2013
Perfect weight. Very nice blanket with comfortable weight. Looks nice pulled up for a finished bed. July 28, 2012
doesn't look like the photo, though! :( I'm loving this comfy, fairly warm, lightweight, high-quality comforter. It's like sleeping like a baby in a pouffy cloud! For me, this is a great value because I purchased this during a great sale. My prior down comforter didn't have the baffling, and that down shifts to one side (the side I'm not sleeping under, of course) . . . and that drives me crazy! :) You should know that this Stratus comforter doesn't look nearly as plumped up and pristine as the photo. (That would require quite a bit of ironing detail and fluffing!!!) Aesthetically, I would be hesitant to use mine without a duvet cover for guest viewing. February 4, 2012
great comforter! I have had this comforter about two months. this is a great comforter, soft ,fluffy ,yet not bulky like some , and warm no need for more blankets under or over this so far.The only thing is there is a blue trim around the edges which they don't tell you, made no difference to me but might to some, if not their color scheme. I bought the king size and I must say it is big enough to come down on the sides below the mattress, and is all the way to the top end of the bed. so it definitely covers everything on my king size bed ,and I have a thick mattress too.Over all I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a down comforter. The Stratus is the BEST! I have had this comforter for about a month. I love it! The way it is constructed it is very fluffy and looks great pulled back over my decorative comforter. It doesn't weigh you down but is very warm and comfortable. I bought 2 but wish I had bought every bed in my house one while they were on sale. January 29, 2012
No more electric blanket and socks for bedtime Being an asthmatic, I was concerned about purchasing another down comforter, the allergens and not generating a comfortable electric blanket warmth. I was so happy to find out, that not only was I so so warm, my breathing was fine, no asthma triggers or coughing. This is the best clean down comforter I've purchased. January 28, 2012
Thinner than pictured I was excited when I purchased this comforter at what was listed as a 75% discount. WOW, I thought so I jumped on it. My first impression was that they sent me the wrong item because it seemed awfully thin compared to the pictures on the website. The comforter is very very soft and when freshly fluffed is probably 2 inches thick, however fluffing is definitely required to maintain this thickness, the comforter is a mere 1/2"-3/4" thick otherwise. Holding the comforter up to light shows that each of the pockets is scantily filled with feathers at about what I would consider about 75% full. If it wasn't so thin, I would love this comforter.
